Gloria Blenman- De Clou is the founder and sole senior Attorney at Blenman De Clou & Associates Co. Her areas of expertise relate primarily on complex Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Probate, Commercial Law, Conveyancing, Intellectual Property Law, Contract Law, and Personal Injuries Claims.
A graduate of Hugh Wooding Law School in the year of 2006, Mrs. Blenman-De Clou has over 16 years of experience in the legal practice. She has been called to the bar in Jamaica, the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, and the Commonwealth of Dominica, respectively. While in Trinidad and Tobago, she worked as the legal officer for a leading Motor Insurance company.
Prior to her pursuit in the legal realm, Mrs. Blenman-De Clou curated, with strategic precision, unfaltering and indefatigable knowledge in the commercial banking sector. She earned a Bachelor of Management from the University of Guyana and has held several managerial portfolios in commercial banks throughout the length and breadth of the Caribbean including the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat as well as the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. In Montserrat, she competently served in the dual functions of Operations manager and Compliance Officer for the Bank of Montserrat. Her commercial banking and finance career closed with a cumulative fifteen (15) years’ experience in the area.
In 2021, Blenman-De Clou merged her commercial banking and finance bona fides with her wealth of legal knowledge to obtain a Master of Laws (LMM) in International Commercial Law from the prestigious University of Salford. She focuses primarily on consultancy geared at providing expert legal advice on complex and thorny legal matters to multinational conglomerates relating to commercial transactions.
